Dance, Dance to the Radio!
Radio Bar is one of the most popular and crowded bars in town. Let me tell you why. First, the entrance is free of charge. You only pay for what you drink.
Second, they’ve got some crazy DJs playing electric tunes that make the feet sore, it’s impossible to stop dancing to the funky, rock, and pop vibes which tell the story of our lives, from Elvis to The Smiths, from Bowie to The Strokes.
Third, they’ve got a terrace, free from the wind, at the back, perfect to relax at the end of the day or after dinner. And yes, there is a happy hour, from 6:30om to 9om. There’s no access to the terrace after Cinderella goes back home but no one wants to leave after the party starts on the dance floor. And if you want a break, you can go outside for fresh air and then back in.

The popularity of this new-fashion designed bar is not only made by the bricks of living la vida loca. Radio Bar is a famous place for music loving fans and has been making its way up as a serious room for entertainment and artistic events, mostly directed to concerts, showcases and debates with the artists.
You can find it at Dona Filipa de Lencastre square, one of the main spots of Porto’s downtown nightlife. For your consideration, they have a broad selection of drinks. A beer costs €1.50, but it’s not available on Sunday and Monday nights, the closing weekly period. Friday and Saturday nights are the hottest ones on the dance floor. From Tuesdays to Thursdays it closes at 2am; Fridays and Saturdays at 4am.

Radio Bar is part of a movement of alternative rock in Porto’s nightlife. There is a kind of a profane religious tour of bars on this matter. This is not for the faint of heart. Nights start with warming up at Casa do Ló. The second chapel and third chapel to visit during the night are Radio and Indiscreta. Why stop now? The last mass takes place at Tendinha dos Clérigos. The first rays of light say it’s already time for breakfast and for a good all morning sleep. You deserve it.
