Museu d’Avó is a trendy place located in Porto’s downtown. The decoration is traditional. The granite walls, the tiles and the antiques hanging from the ceiling or on the shelves take you back in time. But the clients are up to date! Museu d’Avó is a great spot if you want to spend the night talking and enjoying good music and nibbling while having a glass of wine or a coffee.
This is the place where you go to grab a bite before or after a night out. Or where you stay chatting and nibbling the delicious food they serve. They have “tapas” and main courses. You can have something like pardon peppers and a bifana, or go for a seafood rice or a “caldo verde” (soup).

This is my kind of place. I love to go out with my friends and spend the nights chatting and, if possible, grab a bite on something delicious. And it is open till 4 am. Museu d’Avó is located in Porto’s entertainment district. Around the neighborhood you’ll find bars, cafes and a couple of discos where you can have a great time.
After a day of wondering around Porto, Museu d’Avó might be a good choice. It’s in a walking distance from Clérigos tower, São Bento train station, City Hall and the Arts District. If you’re planning to go there for dinner, you better give them a call first and book a table.
A few steps away from Museu d’Avó you can find Pherrugem (a great place if you’re a fan of indie and rock), Pipa Velha around the corner and at the end of the street, Casa de Ló.
